In October 2009, Ohio joined the national Partnership for 21st Century Skills as a "Leadership State" - an essential step in Ohio's quest to transform our public education system, lifts high school graduation rates, improve college readiness and build a globally competitive labor force.
In support of this important initiative, the Ohio Department of Education and Ashland University, along with an impressive group of public and private organizations, have partnered to create an annual "Summit on 21st Century Skills and Learning". This year's Summit will focus on "how" to build and strengthen learning communities committed to teaching and assessing the academic content and employability skills our students need to succeed.
